With the aim of allowing a client to focus on his/her everyday needs, Ashley is a full service decorator who excels at managing the entire design process from start-to-finish in a highly detail-oriented manner. If requested by the client, Ashley enjoys collaborating with architects, kitchen and bath contractors, and landscape architects to align the overall vision of all spaces undergoing a home renovation or construction project. Through transparency and communication, Ashley seeks to be a trusted advisor for each client.

A Personal Process

Every client relationship begins with a complimentary in-person consult. In this meeting, Ashley does a walk-through of the home, discussing the needs of each family member for all spaces. A simple questionnaire helps Ashley learn more about the client’s desired color palette for the design plans. The client receives a detailed proposal with fee estimates for developing design plans, as well as a contractual agreement for services. Upon approval, Ashley will return to the client’s home to take photos, gather precise measurements, and collect any inspiration that the client would like to provide.

All About The Mix

Ashley specializes in the creative mix of new and existing furniture, using space, color, lighting and fabrics to create a collected and layered look for her clients.

The most efficient flow for each room of the home is established using hand-drawn floor plans to scale. Inspired by her client’s desired color palette, Ashley curates a thoughtful selection of fabrics, upholstery, casegoods, lighting, art, antiques, and other details to be tailored for the spaces. With two little ones and a yellow lab herself, Ashley understands and appreciates the need for functional and durable design that will stand the test of time. In a world of smart technology and textiles, Ashley focuses on fabrics that will best suit each individual client’s needs. She goes to great lengths to ensure décor is both unique to the architecture of the house, as well as unique to each client.

Floor plans, photos of items selected, and physical samples to touch and feel are all presented to the client for review. Once the design plans have been finalized, a budget binder is assembled that provides pricing and detailed quotes from Ashley’s team of experienced contractors and workrooms. Projects are managed through to completion with a great sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Ashley prides herself on being able to navigate the tender process of weaving together old and new. She styles spaces for modern family living while respecting the (often) classic architectural style of her client’s home. She is trusted to both emphasize period appropriate décor when it feels right, as well as to sprinkle in new elements that enhance the comfort and livability of a home. After a project is finished and all elements of design have been installed, Ashley aspires to achieve a fresh take on traditional style that her clients love to live in.
